Simple - they want people to code for Android first. It's a tool to push to writing for Android then translating to iOS as cheaper than writing twice - since you can't go ObjC to Java.
- sneak 14y agoOr perhaps personifying a giant company as a single individual with a single set of wishes, hopes, and desires is a fallacy. There are many thousands of people inside of Google who just wish to ship great software, and enable others to do the same.
