Yep, as my old only-used-for-obscure-firmware-updates laptop’s Intel i5 CPU isn’t “supported” by Windows 11, I now went back to Windows 7 on that thing. And boy is that a performance boost over Win10! Using LegacyUpdate you can get it pretty much up to date and there’s even VxKext-NEXT to emulate the few API calls that Windows 10 added.
It’s not for everyday use, but if you need some Windows machine to run old software and won’t surf the Internet with it, it’s awesome.
