7 was their highpoint.. It was the 1st version that actually consistently worked good and was otherwise pretty clean.. 10 is a big step down from 7, it has a lot of extraneous shit in it.
- AlexandrB 1y agoYes, 10 is the combo breaker here. I'd honestly rather use 8 than 10 - despite the questionable UI decisions - but it's obsolete.

- mbirth 1y agoYep, as my old only-used-for-obscure-firmware-updates laptop’s Intel i5 CPU isn’t “supported” by Windows 11, I now went back to Windows 7 on that thing. And boy is that a performance boost over Win10! Using LegacyUpdate you can get it pretty much up to date and there’s even VxKext-NEXT to emulate the few API calls that Windows 10 added. It’s not for everyday use, but if you need some Windows machine to run old software and won’t surf the Internet with it, it’s awesome.
