Top employees, ones that can easily get jobs elsewhere, are just going to leave and find ones without RTO. Employees that don't feel confident in their abilities to perform in the job market are going to show up in the office to keep their job.
- nphardon 1y agoIf that's true, and the employees who can survive brutal tech interviews will leave, it's kind of like an algo for finding a local minimum of talent for the shop enforcing RTO.
- aurareturn 1y agoOr maybe top employees see their remote coworkers slacking off and want everyone in the office. /unpopular opinion
- wiseowise 1y agoIf you “see” anyone else as a top employee - you’re not a top employee by definition. Literally all, without exception, top employees that I saw in my career never gave a single shit about anyone else besides themselves.
- aurareturn 1y agoReally? The top employees I saw in my career had the ability to both lead others and be competent in individual tasks.
- wiseowise 1y agoAbility to lead others is caring whether Lizz the Frizz is not delivering up to someone’s standards?
- aurareturn 1y agoYes. You know. Leaders.
- wiseowise 1y agoAh, corporate speak.
- aurareturn 1y agoNo, it's real life.
- LightBug1 1y agoWorse, the rest will stay and just coast ... ask me how I know, lol.
