I would love a lighter phone. If I chase after kids at the park, the thing is banging around like a lead weight in my pockets.

- schwarzrules 1y agoSafe to assume those are your kids?
- lifestyleguru 1y agoI already imagined a guy in cargo shorts.
- bryanlarsen 1y agoThis phone is not significantly lighter than previous gen. It's 146g vs 170g for the iPhone 16.
- r0fl 1y agoThat’s ~15% improvement That’s not nothing
- lynndotpy 1y agoThe iPhone 12 Mini weighed 135g. Even more improvement :)
- seec 1y agoThe correct solution already existed but it wasn't expensive luxury fashion bullshit enough so it didn't sell and they'll pretend it never existed.
- layer8 1y agoParent is wrong, the Air is 165g, not 146g. The previously lightest iPhone in production is the 16e at 167g, so almost no difference in weight between those two.
- cenamus 1y agoPlastic would do more than less battery and more glass/ceramic though, right?
- 2lup382_ 1y agoWhy make a worse product for a problem that can be solved by carrying your phone a different way, or not having your phone on you for a moment?
- skluug 1y ago"You're holding it wrong"
- beoberha 1y agoAs other comments have said, this isn't going to change that experience whatsoever
- prmoustache 1y agoBut 165gr is not really that light.
- martini333 1y agoAnd 6.5” is not small.
