Seeing US salaries and the strength of the US dollar (and the weakness of the yen right now!)... I wonder. At one point I don't know how you can be competitive with factories abroad. This is where protectionism comes in I guess!

Why not produce abroad? Tesla has factories in China after all

  Oh sure, yeah. My reading of GP's post was that somehow they could pull it off in the US but I must have misread. I have no dog in this fight, I trust "normal" car companies for my car needs.
