I may not have expressed myself very well, but what I would hope is that people do as you say and after reading something in a forum, go to more credible sources. That applies to positive recommendations as well as negative criticisms. So if that one comment struck you as having some merit, what I hope is that you say, "Hmm, there's something to look into" rather than "Aha! Obviously it's bad."
