How does lidar see around corners?
- xnx 1y agoWaymo sensor pods are mounted at the corners of the vehicle allowing it to see things that a driver can't. (E.g. when pulling out of an alley)
- diebeforei485 1y agoThat's not "seeing around corners", that's just sensor placement and can also be done with cameras. Tesla's side cameras on the front are in a similar location.
