Why Theora and not lets say Dirac?
Anyone with more knowledge can comment?
- Avshalom 18y agoI would guess because Xiph controls both theora and vorbis, while the guys responsible for dirac only have the video codec
- GHFigs 18y agoMozilla has already committed to native Theora/Vorbis support in Firefox 3.1, and WikiMedia (who will administer the grant) is already committed to using Theora and Vorbis for Wikipedia.
