Most social platforms today are optimized for content and engagement. Infinite scroll, likes, followers, algorithms — all designed to maximize attention, not connection.
But when you think about the best moments online, they usually aren’t viral videos or perfectly curated feeds. They’re the conversations: the late-night forum thread, the chat with a stranger who changed your perspective, the one honest reply in a sea of noise.
I started wondering: what if a platform was built only around that?
So I built mindfuse.io
— an experiment in anonymous 1:1 voice conversations. No feeds. No algorithms. Just two people talking.
Curious what the HN community thinks:
Do you see potential in conversation-first platforms?
Or do you think feeds/content are too deeply ingrained in how people use the internet now?
