There’s not enough information to know. It was only tested against the fully vaccinated people and, while it showed a boost to protection, that could simply be a result of irritation to the nasal passages putting the innate immune system on alert and thus leveraging the existing antibodies. A similar phenomenon can be seen with unrelated vaccinations giving a temporary boost to protection.
- ggm 1y agoThanks. So.. for people who get dragged into anti-vaxx discussions on this, as an alternative: it was tested on people who had been vaccinated. It's not fuel for a position oppositional to vaccination, almost by definition.
