- WantonQuantum 1y agoThe actual paper on arxiv.org (https://arxiv.org/abs/2507.13461 https://arxiv.org/abs/2507.13461) says that they _predict_ the ability to create gold from mercury using _simulations_.
- awalsh128 1y agoThank you. This is usually the first thing I look for when I see headlines. The actual research or how long it would take to manufacture at scale.
- airbreather 1y agoIf this eventuates, then maybe bitcoin is more useful, the scarcity and distributed nature of findable gold are a key aspect of it's utility/value.
