How is it different from reddit?
- badMonk 1y agoThank you for your feedback! Suppose you read an article online and want to discuss it with someone right then ,on voice, how will you do that on reddit? i feel like reddit is not designed for such real-time voice conversations.
- busymom0 1y agoI feel like reddit has a large enough user base that you'd have better luck discussing it with someone in real time compared to on a brand new site with no users.
- badMonk 1y agoHow about if I create a chrome extension? Just click the join button and you join a voice chat discussing the article/webpage you're on. Also, have you personally ever felt the wish to talk about something you're reading/watching with other people who're reading it too?
- vunderba 1y agoI've seen things like this float around for a while: https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyIdeas/comments/16unakz/chrome_extension_to_allow_you_chat_with_other/ https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyIdeas/comments/16unakz/chrome_... The problem with these ideas (in general) is that they suffer from the classic "chicken or the egg" problem. In order for them to provide value, you need to already have a critical mass of existing users but in order to entice new users, you need to already have aforementioned user base.
- badMonk 1y ago@vunderba thanks for your feedback and the link. i should've checked on google if anything like this exists. yes you're right. the chicken and the egg problem. i wonder if there are any solutions to it.
