If the Christians offered to the emperor and participated in state rituals they wouldn’t have been persecuted and executed. There were plenty of cults and religions and most were absolutely fine. The problem was that the Christians placed themselves outside of the normal structures. That was a Big Deal. The rest, I dunno what happened but you seem to have some chip on your shoulder about the Romans. Nothing they did was out of the ordinary considering the times, or even compared to very recent times.
