Ask HN: As parents, what is your "AI policy" for your children?
Do you allow your children access to AI chatbots or other LLM-used tools? What boundaries have you put in place, and how is it working out so far? What are your experiences with your children interacting with LLM-based systems from ChatGPT to voice speakers?
- sipex 1y ago> Do you allow your children access to AI chatbots or other LLM-used tools? They are 15 nad 16 so yes. They use that a lot. > What boundaries have you put in place Just pure education and explaining how AI work. > and how is it working out so far? Good adoption for school and personal use. So far no red flags (but who knows!)
- marssaxman 1y agoMy thirteen year old thinks that AI tools are an abomination and freely shames anyone who uses them. I have no idea where this opinion came from - certainly not me.
