Glad I don't have to use Word any more or Windows. Everything is in TeXShop+LaTeX for me now. Just files on the disk as it should be.

- rahen 1y agoI use Emacs (org-mode with TeX and Beamer exports) for almost everything, it's my office suite among other things. The only time I still need LibreOffice is for diagrams and charts, and even that is slowly being replaced by Mermaid. https://ridaayed.com/posts/create-diagrams-in-emacs-org-mode/ https://ridaayed.com/posts/create-diagrams-in-emacs-org-mode...
- executiverange 1y agoSeconded Emacs. I use it for almost everything. I started using it for text editing and it slowly crept into basic web browsing, RSS reader, word processing (with org-mode and Markdown), presentation (through Pandoc/Beamer) and Elisp/C programming. It's gotten to the point where the only four programs I use daily on my Mac are LibreWolf, FreeTube, Logic Pro and Emacs. Seriously if I could use Logic Pro inside Emacs I would.

- crinkly 1y agoThat hasn't happened on Mac at least. If it does I will go to Linux.
