Have We Reached the Singularity?
Serious question. The singularity is broadly defined as when technological innovation becomes self iterating and exponential leading to an ever faster expansion of innovation.

- Disposal8433 1y agoIf you're talking about LLMs, it's not self iterating at all, and actually chokes on its own vomit, and I don't see where its growth is exponential. > point in time at which technological growth becomes alien to humans, uncontrollable and irreversible The worst we could have is if those Ghibli generators were flooding the internet by themselves but it's not happening yet. What they call singularity seems to be a philosophical concept, and the AI-pushers have not grasped that, blinded by all their money.
