I would guess part of the issues is the subscripts. It’s annoying to type out formulas so it’s faster to just cut-n-paste.

- jibal 1y agoIf they know Gr is wrong then they would correct it. If they don't know then they will write Gr no matter how they transcribe it. The subscripts are irrelevant ... mindless copying is what's relevant.
