I was under the impression that Plaxo was pretty much dead anyway - is this really still a large problem for people? Contact sync is not really an issue for me

I was under the impression that Plaxo was pretty much dead anyway - is this really still a large problem for people? Contact sync is not really an issue for me anymore. I can always just take a look on one of two or three social network apps if I really can't find someone's info and it's likely that I communicate with certain subgroups of people via those networks exclusively anyway.
