For me, the post is missing an explanation of the reason why I would want to build my own coding agent instead of just using one of the publicly available ones.

- ghuntley 1y agoKnowing how to build your own agent and what that loop is going to be the new whiteboard coding question in a couple of years. Absolute. It's going to be the same as "Reverse this string", "I've got a linked list, can you reverse it?", or "Here's my graph, can you traverse it?"
- prodimmune 1y agoI see, thanks. I was wondering earlier if there would be any practical advantage in creating a custom agent, but couldn't think of any. I guess I simply misunderstood the purpose of your post.
