It's tragicomic that this is what we get from people whose ostensible goal is to "make America great again". This is instead a perfect way to make everyone think America is supremely stupid. It's like thinking that getting a facial tattoo of a cock and balls is going to make everyone think you're cool.

The blunt Trump praise ("This is Trump going bigger than Nixon") is just the icing on the cake. Is this really all that’s left of the United States, that were once built on big ideas and ideals? A nation of immigrants that distilled the best of all nations, now folding in on itself, a nation of freedom and equality now going after those with the wrong opinion, a nation of science now dictating research?

  Pretty much the same as every other nation that slid from a functioning and proud society into fascism. Russia, Cuba, Italy, Iraq, you name it. Fascists take hold and destroy the nation's heritage. If the nation recovers, it's not until many generations into the future.

They destroyed 18F for this. I can already see the dog and pony show briefings of design solutions that will never see the light of day. Someone will walk away richer and the people will see no benefit. I can’t believe this nation is that stupid.

It’s fine for a regular website one might stumble upon. For a demo of America’s prowess in design it’s pretty bad and bland. The GIF loop (as mentioned by another commenter) is borked. The text goes to the edges of my screen. The italicized blurb towards the bottom has weird commas and capitalization. The copy just reads weird too. 18F walked so that we could, uh, regress back to crawling around on the floor babbling?
