They lost me with the FreeBSD to Linux switch.
- soupbowl 1y agoSince switching to the debian version, I have learned to dread every update.
- thefossguy69 1y agoWhat issues are you facing in the transition of TrueNAS from FreeBSD to Debian?
- porjo 1y agoI've been on Debian since the switch and had no issues when OS updates. The kubernetes to docker transition was a little bumpy however.
- frankharv 1y agoI did not like when NAS4FREE had to change their name because of something.... The new name XigmaNAS did not inspire me to continue. Then FREENAS changes name to TrueNAS. Boy what a twisted wreck. In the meanwhile I learn NFS and ditch the GUI prima-donnas.
- frankharv 1y agoI really dropped NAS/SENSE when the GUI switched from lightttpd to Bootcamp... NANOBSD was dropped around the same era... What a shame. It was a good run, Back when you could upgrade without worry.
