The justification is the expiration of what they say is an emergency subsidy from the pandemic.
I’m not saying that makes it good (IMO society would benefit from this subsidy being permanent). But that’s their justification.

- RickJWagner 1y agoThe premiums were high, but reduced temporarily for people who otherwise would not get generous subsidies. The pandemic era extra funds are now expired, those people will now pay a price similar to what they paid pre pandemic. For the least wealthy people, the amount of subsidy provided will not change.
