God, this sort of article is so boring. Go is a great language, as evidenced by the tremendous amount of excellent software that’s been written in it. Are there some rough points? Sure. But that’s all this is, is a list of annoyances the author experiences when using Go. Great, write an article about the problems with Go, but don’t say “therefore it’s a bad language”. While I agree with many of the points brought up, none of them seems like such a huge issue that it’s even worth discussing, honestly. So you have different taste the the original designers. Who cares? What language do you say is better? I can find just as many problems with that language. Also, defer is great.
