I've been writing small Go utilities for myself since the Go minor version number was <10 I can still check out the code to any of them, open it and it'll look the same as modern code. I can also compile all of them with the latest compiler (1.25?) and it'll just work. No need to investigate 5 years of package manager changes and new frameworks.
