I'd suggest you send all your custom stuff to syslog so that you can easily consolidate events however you like and then work with your admin to deploy whatever

I'd suggest you send all your custom stuff to syslog so that you can easily consolidate events however you like and then work with your admin to deploy whatever variant of syslog best fits your requirements.
