Why study anything? So far I've found the broad strokes to be, because of: 1. Satisfying curiosity / because it's fun 2. To build new technology By virtue of that, my stance on whether I think we are or aren't exceptional is irrelevant. I don't have any hope that any of this will be researched thoroughly enough in my lifetime though.
