Ask HN: Best books to learn fundamentals of two dimensional animation?
I am interested in 2d animation as a content creator and game developer. I am not looking to learn how to use a software. Rather how to animate. From the first principles. Thank you!
- strangecasts 1y agoRichard Williams' The Animator's Survival Kit [1] is the standard recommendation, I believe - I've also seen animation courses recommend Preston Blair's Cartoon Animation [2] [1] https://www.amazon.com/Animators-Survival-Kit-Principles-Classical/dp/086547897X/135-5032408-9249301 https://www.amazon.com/Animators-Survival-Kit-Principles-Cla...
