The settlers aren't doing this without support, if the Israeli state didn't want it to be happening it wouldn't. There's tacit support from Israel for the settlements, they have political power. I'm stating it this way to not push the responsibility only to the individual settlers, it's a concerted operation with broad support from a cohort of Israel's society.
