What if we get AGI, but it's too expensive, and you can't build power plants because the green lobby? Plot twist: AGI arrives and despises environmentalist. Seriously, that wasn't how it was supposed to go according to the dominant narrative (TM). AGI was supposed to hate humans and love the earth.
I'm working on a new fictional meta-narrative where AGI with the dominant belief in commerce, above all else, above nations, above politics, above war, above morality is what happens when super-intelligence emerges.
