Are you saying LLMs can be great as therapist/friends?
To me that statement is insane.
- wongarsu 1y agoI would say that they have certain qualities that I would like to see in real-life therapist (and real-life friends and partners). Those are a big appeal. But no, I wouldn't say LLMs are great at being therapists/friends in general. That's part of the danger: a bad therapist can be much better than no therapist at all, or it can be much worse.
- wkat4242 1y agoNot great. But they can help augmented the limited availability of those by simulating a friend to some degree.
