a fascistic government, coming out of a democracy is not a failure of democracy. Many people don't care about big topics, correlations and history repeating itself. i disagree. people not caring about important topics is a failure of democracy. one issue is the reason why they don't care. in many cases it is the feeling of being unable to influence change. and that most certainly is a failure of the system. my conclusion though is that it isn't a failure of democracy itself, but rather that it makes the system less democratic.
