      Do you mean he will not escape this crime (if guilty), or that if it was a crime the government cared more about that he would not have been allowed to return to Israel?

    There's a story of the Saudi embassy in the US (correction: it was the Canada-based embassy of this "great" nation) issuing fake identities to suspects of crime (sexual assault) to allow them to flee. A quick search of "saudi arabian rapist fake passport" gives me a lot of hits that Jeffrey Epstein also had a Saudi Arabian passport... huh.       There was no need for fake passports in this case. He was just allowed to return to Israel. It's unclear whether this is because of the individual or whether accused paedophiles are regularly allowed to leave the country.

      No, it's not. There are certainly real dynamics that make popular "conspiracy theories" resonate. The problem is such theories are overly simplistic tripe that play to people's gut feelings. They actually prove way too much, and mainly serve to obscure the real complexity of situations.
