If you don’t think that this describes at least half of the non-tech-industry population, you need to talk to more people. Even amongst the technically minded, you can find people that basically think this.
- drawfloat 1y agoMost of the non tech population know it as that website that can translate text or write an email. I would need to see actual evidence that anything more than a small, terminally online subsection of the average population thought LLMs were conscious.
