Ask HN: Will Grok win as it will eventually train on data from Optimus androids?
Grok’s competitors currently don’t have functional androids to gather data from.
- meshugaas 1y agoGrok will lose because they won’t have any customers
- bell-cot 1y agoAny reason for assuming that data contains some magical Elixir of Intelligence, which isn't available anywhere else?

- bigyabai 1y agoIf you're asking this question without trolling anyone, then you are unfit for commentary on technology and finance.
- Jtsummers 1y agoIt's amichail, look at their submission history and you'll find a lot of questions that are obviously the product of a troll. Their other question from today asks if we should close public libraries to fund home internet for poor people. No connection presented between the two. No analysis done to see if closing public libraries would even come close to covering the financial gap needed. Just a nonsense question by a troll (most likely).
- sfmz 1y ago"The Limiting Factor" had an interesting take: Elon Musk's ability to deploy resources gives Grok a competitive advantage. - ksherlock 1y agoGrok will win because the Boring company will find the mole people's secret underground lair where they keep a record of all human knowledge as well as socks that have gone missing from the dryer.
- msgodel 1y agoI'm sure they'll come out with agent software for things like unitree's android. Personally I think androids are a complete waste of effort and money. They're incredibly expensive both to manufacture and maintain, impossible to make safe, difficult to control, and absolutely drink power just standing. Putting a low DOF arm on a roomba just doesn't sell as well to investors though so you keep hearing about them.
