Please don’t be harsh with me—I’m new to vibe coding, lol.

- yukieliot 1y agoHow does it work? Paste any YouTube URL to extract the audio stream while maintaining quality. What content works best? Ideal for music, podcasts, lectures, and any audio-focused content. How much bandwidth can I save? Save up to 90% data compared to video streaming.
- yukieliot 1y agoYes
- dzrmb 1y agoOh this is so cool! Just tried it out, great little product!
- yukieliot 1y agoThank you
- someone4874726 1y agoDoesn't YouTube automatically only stream audio when it detects your don't have the tab active?
- yukieliot 1y agoreally? can you show me the source?
- someone4874726 1y agoCan't find the video about it anymore, but I remember watching a video where someone showed it using the devtools. I believe after having the tab inactive you should see only audio being received by the browser (using devtools)
- HardwareLust 1y agoI'm guessing this won't work on live streams?
- yukieliot 1y agoit works, test it yourself!
- HardwareLust 1y agoSurprise, it does!
- _lvbh 1y agoInvidious already has this feature
- skyzouwdev 1y agoClever idea — I can see this being perfect for long podcasts or lectures where the video isn’t needed. Curious how you’re handling YouTube’s TOS on this though, seems like it could be a tricky part.
- yukieliot 1y agoI don’t think it’s against the TOS. Some people just want to listen to audio to save bandwidth. It’s not doing anything extreme — just hiding the video. It’s a chill, vibe-y coding project for a harmless site.
