What I learned spending $851 on Reddit Ads
- hermitcrab 1y agoTLDR: * Reddit Ads are relatively easy to set up and start getting clicks. * The Reddit numbers reports for clicks and conversions are dubious. * Engagement from Reddit users is miserable.
- timpera 1y ago"This makes me wonder if the majority of the Reddit clicks are accidental." I must admit that only times I ever clicked on Reddit ads, it was by mistake in the (terrible) mobile app...
- hermitcrab 1y agoThat might not be a mistake on Reddit's part. My local newspaper has a horrible website. Things move around continually as the page renders, and it is very easy to accidentally click an ad. I'm sure that isn't an accident.
- mrkramer 1y agoI doubt Google and Facebook are any better but the catch and the question is; how to measure awareness of ads e.g. if I see an ad and it sticks in my mind but that doesn't show up in advertiser's ad campaign analytics? Raw stats are one thing but awareness is another.
