I feel like the article addressed this response in the section titled 'The “Just Use This Library” Trap'
- btown 1y agoThese aren’t third-party libraries, these are RFP processes for adding to the official protocol, and standardizing the semantics of new fields and data types. A world of difference IMO.
- cratermoon 1y agoWhy add them after the fact and not part of the original design? This isn't 1974, those semantics are the minimum bar to clear for a viable protocol in 2025.
