I wouldn't know for sure, but suspect the relatively higher mass of an EV puts more wear on the tires during braking and acceleration. You certainly feel when the regenerative mode kicks on in a smaller vehicle. Someone will have to pester a physicist at some point for a better answer. Cheers =3
