Agreed on both counts - absolutely awful article, and self-hosting is not hard. You seemingly need a phd to do the most basic things on AWS
- lofties 1y agoPeople argue self-hosting is insecure, then open up their AWS RDS instance to the whole world because they can't figure out their IAM settings.
- john01dav 1y agoIt makes sense that someone who thinks that clouds are magically secure will fail to take the steps to make a cloud configuration secure.
