- acheong08 1y agoThat is just factually incorrect. Most Chinese Malaysians are either Cantonese or Hokkien, with closer ties to Taiwan and Hong Kong than the mainland. A lot of the older folk don't even speak Mandarin. Keep in mind the CCP wasn't even in power when most migrated here.
- dlyco 1y agoemotional bond with the CCP is a bit too specific; what I should say is that the older generation Chinese Malaysians always have an emotional bond towards China, especially the PRC.
