So your whataboutism can't change the subject I have raised - why no local power is trying to help Palestinians much. Because they were already burned by them in the past.
- ath3nd 1y ago> Because they were already burned by them in the past. What's your point? Genocide now is genocide now, you are either on the right side of history or not. You can what-about all day, Palestine did this, Palestine did that, the fact is that right NOW Israel is doing a genocide to the Palestinian population. Are you trying to make some apologies for this specific genocide based on past events? Cause that's a slippery slope, my friendo. T > have raised - why no local power is trying to help Palestinians much Nah, your whataboutism can't change the subject I raised: many local powers can't help Palestine for fear for their own safety. After all, Israel started a war with two other nations in the region: Iran and Lebanon, in the last couple of months.
- spwa4 1y agoObviously Palestinians committing genocide is what started the current conflict. Just like every past conflict Palestinians were involved in, in at least 6 countries. It was always started by genocide. By Palestinians committing genocide against others. THAT, by the way, is proven and does not require rewriting definitions of genocide. They have declared their intent many times, and constantly attempt to commit genocide, in multiple countries and even on their own people. Calling the IDF attacks genocide does require rewriting the definition of genocide. Because the Geneva convention states very clearly - anything used for military attacks is fair game for a counterattack. And hamas uses anything and everything, from hospitals to primary schools, to attack anyone they can get their hands on, even now including civilians in Israel. That is also FAR from the only violation of the Geneva conventions hamas commits on a regular basis. Hell the previous conflict with Israel was started by Palestinians, hamas, committing genocide on Palestinians - including in the emergency room of Al Shifa hospital. In that hamas genocide at least one 13 year old was brutally murdered, in a hospital. Along with hundreds of others. > Israel started a war with two other nations in the region: Iran and Lebanon Only if you consider military attacks and firing rockets at Israeli civilians as not starting a war. Both Iran and Lebanon did that. And, of course, if military attacks and firing rockets is NOT starting a war, then nothing Israel did, including in Gaza, is a war. So what are we arguing about exactly?
