Ex-White House expert: Microsoft considers security an annoyance, not necessity
- duxup 1y agoDidn't the current government also scrap a lot of security related rules for US government infrastructure and software? I'm guessing the White House feels the same way in practice.
- taylodl 1y agoHere's the thing - corporate cybersecurity organizations know how to protect their assets from Microsoft's ineptitude, but the organizations paying them don't really care about security, either. All they want is to keep their organization's name out of the headlines. They really don't care about the security of their customers' data.
- rawgabbit 1y agoQuote> "Each hack caused by Microsoft's negligence results in increased government spending on Microsoft cybersecurity services," Wyden continued. "The government will never escape this cycle unless it stops rewarding Microsoft for its negligence with bigger and bigger contracts."
- daveguy 1y agoMicrosoft is garbage and so is this administration, so they should be perfect for each other.
