Yes except for Silicon Valley and finance, we are giving up any chance of market leadership in these areas. Ironically if we wanted manufacturing jobs we’d focus on growth areas. Our energy and automobile companies will suffer longer term by being able to hold onto old, not economically viable ways of doing things until the bitter end.
