The 2 nuclear bombs were nothing compared to the fire bombings of Tokyo, etc. It freaked me out to read that the B-29s crews could smell the burning flesh while flying over these raids. Those raids were cruel, and I'm just not at all worked up over using "the bomb" as an alternative to that.
