Ask HN: What happened to John Carmack's AGI company?
It was launched with reasonable fanfare, took a cool $20m first round , and I have just realized it’s been three years already and I believe nothing was launched.

- wsc981 1y agoHe’s probably still working on it, as sometimes he mentions something in that area of work on Twitter.
- upupupandaway 1y agoSure but AI innovation is moving very fast, so three years is a long long time. Curious if he has some massive innovative work that’s going to change everything or it’s all just going to be a bust.

- gethly 1y agoI watched an interview with him not long ago. Essentially he said the company where he works now is pure research and no business. I think he said there are three people in it altogether.
