How do you measure higher despair? Mens suicide rates is consistently 4 times higher. Homelessness is almost 2 times higher.

- SAI_Peregrinus 1y agoIIRC males have a higher rate of completed suicides, but females have a higher rate of incomplete suicides (attempt made but didn't die).
- akimbostrawman 1y agoLike with most things it takes a lot more conviction to actually do something instead of just attempting it. For woman it's usually a cry for help that's why there suicide methods are less lethal. They know there are whole industries focused on supporting them. Meanwhile majority of men know they are alone regardless of there despair.
