Passkeys seem like alpha software that somehow got shipped by mistake. Wake me up in 5 years when/if they are actually safely usable (not just securely usable). Until then I advise my family members to stay away from them and I think everyone else should too.
- paul_h 1y agoAlpha and shipped too early - spot on. My personal strategy is to adopt at the last moment I absolutely have to. I know Dan, and liked the article, but I feel he ended it too early. The Passkeys leads don't have a solid website with an FAQ from a non-technical end user point of view and it is desperately needed.
