I’ve never heard fissile out but I love it for describing a problem that will go away once the full consequences have already been felt.
- GlacierFox 1y agoIt's fizzle where I'm from in the UK. To fizzle out is to weakly and pittifully end with no meaningful after effects. Like after lighting a firework that didn't actually go off. "It's fizzled out!"
