I remember in my politics classes how the professor said that the concept of a nation only existed for a couple hundred years. Crazy when you think about it.
- oriettaxx 1y agoexactly: and the 'parliament' is about end of 1700 (French Revolution) The 'Passport' just about 100 years (visas even less) We are stuck on very old ideas that cannot fit on how we evolved: but these ideas carry institutions, and these ends up as all institutions in history: conserving themselves, to the extreme, even if totally useless.
